The Red Bull team has revealed a new line-up for the 2026 F1 campaign, moving up French driver Isack Hadjar to its senior team and handing 18-year-old Briton Arvid Lindblad his debut F1 drive. The young driver, who has a Swedish father and a mother of Indian descent, is set to become team-mate to New Zealander Liam Lawson at the second team Racing Bulls. These changes sees Japan's Yuki Tsunoda losing his seat post a half-decade in F1. A Star in the Making The British teen took part in first practice for the Silverstone and Mexican Grands Prix in the current season. The youngster was marked out as a potential future star by Red Bull from the age of 12 years old. Regarding the team's junior academy, a senior Red Bull figure previously said that Lindblad "seems extremely gifted", highlighting his "natural quickness". Red Bull has been working since last year to prepare Lindblad for his likely Grand Prix bow in 2026, including appearances in F1 practice sessions at Silverstone and Mexico City. The rookie said it was a "proud moment", adding: "2026 will be a massive test, and I know there's a lot to learn, but I'm prepared to work closely with the team and meet the challenge. I can't wait to get started." Lindblad has taken a couple of victories in F2 so far this season and is sixth in the standings heading into the final round in Abu Dhabi. Hadjar's Big Break The French driver enjoys his maiden top-three finish in F1, achieved at the Zandvoort race this season. Hadjar's F1 career began in difficult fashion when he spun out during the warm-up lap of the first Australian Grand Prix. However, since then, he has emerged as one of the stand-out newcomers this season. His performances included an outstanding podium finish at the Dutch Grand Prix, and he sits in tenth place in the drivers' standings. The team principal said: "Isack has displayed impressive growth and proved to be a fast adapter. Crucially, he has the raw speed that is the primary necessity in this sport. We believe he can thrive next to Max." The promoted driver called it "an incredible opportunity" and said he felt "up for the challenge". Tsunoda's Exit To partner Lindblad at Racing Bulls, Red Bull have preferred Lawson instead of Tsunoda. Lawson began the season with the main team but was moved back early in the year. He has found his form at Racing Bulls with some strong performances, convincing Red Bull he deserves more time. The Japanese driver, meanwhile, loses his place after a difficult season. His highest finish is a sixth place, and he has scored a small fraction of the team's constructors' championship. The driver market moves mean that there remains no place on the Red Bull programme for Irish driver Alex Dunne, who will continue in F2 next season.
